Why human wisdom goes beyond AI
Artificial intelligence is top of mind for many, bringing questions - what is humanity’s role, purpose, what are our gifts, and what choices do we make in relation to AI.
Head plus heart = greater than AI.
As the "intelligence" of AI grows, it already, at times, surpasses certain human brain power. The greatest chess champions bested by Stockfish for example.
But the brain, in partnership with our nervous systems, sensory abilities, heart, and spirit = unique and unbeatable. AI will never come close to our human gifts in this way.
When AI mimics human connection (and why it feels strange)
Yes, AI has learned relational soothing - but holy moly, doesn't it feel weird when AI tells you how wonderful you are???
It makes me laugh when Chatgpt affirms my style of writing.
It's so absurd. And yet can feel weirdly alluring when in vulnerable moments.
Living with AI
I'm not anti-AI, though I'm strongly distrustful and very cautious about it. For me, it helps with tech problems. I just used ChatGPT last night to learn how to do an automation thing for this newsletter. It’s so funny to me how it says “you’re in the perfect place….good catch….this is the moment where most people get tripped up…”
Laura makes very beautiful decorations with it, and we're using AI-assisted pictures for this Throat-Voice Portal. I love what she was able to do in partnering with AI. (Take a look at our webpage to see the pictures!)
And really, AI is woven into so many things now, we can't actually avoid it unless one goes off grid.
The limit effects of AI
I see us playing in the AI field, which has limits and layers. We’re in a sort of box. There are layers of AI that we don't know about or maybe called conspiracy theories at this point. We can't necessarily UNDO these layers, at least at this moment in time.
What we can do is choose to expand beyond those layers into more organic, cosmic energy. This energy has no limits to it.
The multiverse that AI keeps us contained in, has limits and lots of control. Lots of suffering. Lots of feeding off of human suffering. This reality does not want us to realize there is a bigger, vaster reality, with more potential, more enjoyment, and much more freedom for us.
So rather than avoiding it, and also rather than embracing it, we need to amplify our own human gifts.
Our next level of expansion
The "I-think, therefore-I-am" model dominated certain areas of the world since the Enlightenment - believing brain power elevated us above nature. This led to many problems but also some fantastic problem solving.
I think we’ve reached our limit in this realm of head being supreme. What’s the next frontier for us?
