Inner Artist Intro Classes
Chicago - May 5th, 3-5 pm
This FREE class will help you identify the various desires in your creative and performing life. As an introduction to Internal Family Systems/Inner Parts model, this is a way to get to know the complexity of our desires and shine some love on our inner conflicts.
- Guided journaling, group discussing, and mini-coachings.
- An introduction to IFS and the 'parts' process.
- You are welcome to share as much or as little as you want, with lots of care and respect for each person's process.
You can make friends with the fearful parts of you, while still honoring and following the creative and performing parts of you. It doesn't have to be one or the other (fearful OR creative). In fact, getting to know one's tender parts opens up space for deeper inner connection, leading to more creativity, courage, compassion, and confidence.
This class is great for musicians, actors, public speakers, dancers, artists, writers, creators, and any other medium where you feel deeply and personally invested in your work.

An experience with the Inner Artist class
I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to take Marta's Inner Artist Group class. I have been experiencing almost debilitating physical symptoms while performing certain material that I didn't agree with. I would have nausea and dizziness while performing this text for this particular group. I have " tricks" to deal with things like this so I've been able continue, but not joyfully.
Marta helped me realize that some of my overwhelming experiences and initial feelings may actually be trying to help me. I actually felt the heaviness of the situation lift while at the class! The benefits increased as I practiced the tools during the week. I was able to try them out performing for this group today, and the improvement was pretty amazing.
The tools aren't mind games. They are not band-aids. They are educating me, to enjoy my mind.... the happy excited parts and the sad and anxious parts.
Not only that, but Marta presented the information clearly and compassionately. She created a welcoming and safe group atmosphere where we all felt we could share challenges with each other. I can't recommend the class enough and I can't wait for the next one. Thank you Marta!! -- Laura Kimmel, mezzo-soprano
